About Kristine

Kristine Jepsen with her riding mule, Valentine

A Nebraska native, Kristine's route to farming included stints as a wilderness canoe guide, a sled-dog handler, a Grand Prix horse groomer, and a magazine editor.

Upon graduation from college (she holds an English/journalism degree from Augustana College in Sioux Falls), she bought a bike and rode the Great Divide Mountain Bike Trail (self-contained) with Ryan, landing a job as a magazine writer and editor in Driggs, Idaho, along the way.

Today, home again in the Midwest, Kristine shepherds most of the communicative details for Grass Run Farm and is the administrator of www.grassrunfarm.com. She also manages content for the website of Luther College, www.luther.edu.

Kristine's hobbies will always include biking, photography, gardening, writing, reading, and documenting just about any good story. The child of music teachers, she also plays the clarinet whenever it's socially acceptable and sings in community productions.
