Our Location

Describing where we're located depends a little on how well you know the meandering backroads of our corner of Iowa (locals joke that visitors' best bet is to buy the Department of Natural Resources map of the trout streams).

In simplest terms, we're midway between Dorchester, Iowa, and Spring Grove, Minnesota on County Hwy 16.

We learned when we moved here that many of our neighbors give directions in relation to a cultural map of homesteads. In these terms, we're part of Røros Ryggen (Røros Ridge, named for the hamlet in Norway from which nearly all of the neighborhood's pioneer families emigrated).
